Concrete Scanning to Locate Conduits Prior to Core Drilling - Cleveland, Ohio
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) was requested on site by a general contractor to perform a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) scan in Cleveland, Ohio. The purpose was to locate any conduits in the concrete slab prior to core drilling. Scanning was completed for over 30 locations inside of a waste water treatment plant. Live conduits were located at every location. Engineers had to relocate many holes to miss conduits. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems is the best way to ensure the locations of reinforcement and conduits prior to saw cutting/drilling through concrete. The pictures below show conduits located to ensure that no conduits would be hit when core drilling. |
