GPRS Helps Determine Whether Unearthed Structure is Old Building Foundation or Concrete Duct Bank - Central Texas During the course of a building expansion project in downtown Austin, contractors unearthed a concrete structure that was “not supposed to be there”, as the superintendent put it. Before they could proceed with excavation they needed to know if this was an old building foundation or a concrete duct bank. That’s when they called Corey Brecht with GPRS of Central Texas. By using specialized tools Corey was able to determine that the concrete structure was not an electrical duct bank, but likely an old building foundation with reinforcing steel inside. The contractors were then able to safely proceed with excavation.
