Concrete Scanning At CTA Train Station Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Chicago was called on to scan some concrete inside the CTA train station in Chicago. A local contractor was renovating a tenant space at one of the train station terminals. They hired us to scan the floor to locate any conduits and rebar that might be in the floor before they core drill for power to the new Dunkin Donuts that was being constructed at the terminal. This was very important for them to have the floor scanned so there would be no down time at the busy train station due to a hit power conduit that was in the floor. GPRS was able to locate power in the floor and also marked the rebar out so no rebar was hit during the drilling process.
