GPRS Locates Utilities at Substation - Chesterland, OH

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was called out to a project by a general contractor at a substation in Chesterland, Ohio. The scope of work was to locate any underground utilities for a trench where new conduits needed to be installed. The contractor needed to excavate a 150ft trench. By using GPR and Radio Detection, the grounding grid, conduits, electrical duct banks, and drain pipes were located in the area of concern. GPRS located the utilities, and then painted them onto the project surface. These utilities could have been hit if they were not located! GPR and Radio Detection is an accurate and effective way of locating underground utilities prior to excavation.
