GPRS Finds All Underground Obstuctions at Dealership in Fort Washington, PA

Fort Washington, Pa - On 2/10/11, GPRS aided Franklin Construction of Maple Glen, PA, to locate any and all underground obstructions at the Mercedes Benz Dealership in Fort Washington. Franklin Construction was awarded the renovation project at the dealership to extend the service department, as well as update other areas around the site. Approximately 3 acres were scanned in 2 days, locating and marking any obstructions found. 

The issue at this site was that only rumors of what was underground could be determined. Clearly, ground could not be struck if the whereabouts of subsurface obstructions could not be precisely located, especially at such a high profile location. So when GPRS was called out, we were asked to solve this problem, hopefully locating these evasive pipes before ground breaking could begin. 

After two days of scanning, multiple conduits, utilities, and unknown obstructions were found in the ground. As seen in the pictures, many of these lines weaved in unpredictable directions, making it clear that the best avenue to take before excavation was to call GPRS for subsurface locating.
