GPRS Locates USTs - Bentonville, Arkansas

Before a general contractor started soil boring to test for contamination, Wade Vickers of GPRS- Arkansas was contacted to locate any existing underground utilities or Underground Storage Tanks around or through their excavation site. Unlike X-Ray, GPR is able to produce data in real time that the technician interprets. This helps minimize time on site, and operation hours. Ground penetrating radar was used to locate any utilities or USTs, which were marked out with orange spray paint. The accurate depth of the utilities and USTs were also directly marked on the surface. The General Contractor was able to more accurately determine their drilling locations. Ground penetrating radar is completely non-hazardous, using about 1% of the radiation emitted from a cell phone.
