GPRS Locates Post Tension Cables in Washington D.C.
GPRS was initially contacted to perform services at the garage because they needed to install 4” bolts into the concrete. The fear was that they were unsure of the locations of the post tension cables in the concrete. Ground penetrating Radar is the perfect application for this job. We were able to mark out all items in the concrete in real time while the technician was on site. This allowed the construction crew to drill their inserts without any delay in their construction schedule and with no fear of striking any of the rebar or post tension cables located in the concrete. If you have an upcoming project in Virginia or the District of Columbia where you need to cut or core concrete and are unsure of what is located in the concrete. Be sure to contact your local GPRS office to assist you in knowing what is in the concrete. Regional Director Jamey Harmon can be contacted at (703)728-7333 or jamey.harmon@gprsinc.com.
