GPR Scanning - Oak Brook, Illinois

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Chicago was recently hired by a local plumbing contractor in the area to perform GPR scanning on a concrete slab prior to core drilling. GPRS works quite often with Hartwig plumbing whenever they need to cut concrete to add new plumbing. One job in particular was completed at the Neiman Marcus store at the Oak Brook Mall prior to core drilling multiple holes for new plumbing. The store was open for business while the remodel project was going on, the store requested the floor be scan so no conduits in the slab would be drilled through. The store could not take the chance of hitting a conduit and affecting a part of the store while it’s still open for business during the renovation project.

By having GPRS come out and scan the holes, they were able to avoid drilling through the multiple conduits running through the floor in various locations.
