GPR Used To Locate Utilities - Hudson, Florida

In May of 2013, Uretek Holdings, Inc. of Lakeland, FL contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC. (GPRS) in order to locate utilities in the master bathroom of a residence in Hudson, Florida. Uretek needed to determine where the existing utilities such as water lines, power lines and sewer lines were located in order to pump grout underneath the area to support the structure. GPRS of Florida was contacted in order to determine where the utilities were located to avoid hitting any or pumping under any pipes when filling the area with grout.

Justin Rasanow, our Tampa, FL Regional Manager for GPRS was contacted in order to perform the private utility locating scan in the master bathroom in Hudson, FL. Using our 1600MHz antenna, we were able to locate the existing underground utilities and map them on the surface including depths. The contractor was pleased with our results and felt relieved that they were able to proceed with their plans and be aware of current underground utilities present on-site.
