Post Tension Cable Locating Project

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems-Oklahoma was contacted recently to scan an area prior to drilling anchors into a post-tension slab in Oklahoma City, OK. Due to the limited space, Wade Vickers (the GPRS technician seen here), used a 2000 MHz antenna to locate the PT cables and rebar in the slab and provide their depths. This information allowed the contractor to avoid any hazards while anchoring into the slab. Post-tension cables can cause a lot of stress when dealing with penetrating a concrete, elevated slab; but with the help of GPRS, contractors can breathe easy after all of the threats have been located. GPR can be a time, money and stress saver all while helping contractors make deadlines and avoid added costs.
