Post-Tension Cables Located At School In Norfolk, Virginia Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was recently called by a local mechanical company to a project at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. The scope of work was to scan several areas on an elevated concrete slab to locate post-tension cables before core drilling and saw cutting to put in new duct work. They had concerns of post-tension cables running through the areas they may be drilling or cutting and did not want to hit them. GPRS, LLC. was able to get to the project in a timely matter and mark out the post-tension cables and also provide a depth as to how deep they were in the concrete. GPR is an effective and efficient way of locating rebar, conduits, and post-tension cables in a concrete slab.
