Private Utility Locating for Energy Company - Mojave, CA

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC. - GPRS - of Southern California was contacted by a contractor that needed to have all of the utility lines located prior to the mobilization of a crane. We were asked to scan an approximate area of 500’x300’ on an existing wind farm; the area we scanned was for a large crane that was to be stationed there. We first scanned the area using Radio Detection and found a high voltage line running parallel to a dirt road. Due to the wet conditions of the area scanned we marked the finding with flags and pins; no other utilities were found onsite.
