Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was recently asked to assist in a project at a Motiva fuel terminal in Atlanta, GA. GPRS was asked to determine the location of any underground utility lines in the project area. GPR is an ideal tool for use in fuel terminals, manufacturing facilities, airports, and hospitals, as it does not emit harmful radiation, produces virtually no noise, and will not disturb operating equipment, sensors or computer systems, or other trade workers.
GPR is frequently used to scan concrete to determine location of underground utilities and underground storage tanks, as well as for unmarked grave mapping and locating septic systems. Jeff DeHart is the GPRS contact based in Atlanta, GA and he can be reached at 404.593.9227 or by email at jeff.dehart@gprsinc.com.
