A General Contractor responsible for core drilling in a hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC. (GPRS) to map out reinforcement and conduit in an active hospital room. GPRS scanning helps contractors ensure that areas for drilling are unobstructed and reduces the likelihood of subsurface obstruction strikes.
The scans were completed efficiently and results were marked with tape directly on the surface of the hospital room floor. Using tape instead of permanent marker or paint limits damage to finished flooring. Jude Tenorio of GPRS New Mexico was able to map out the reinforcement and conduit within the designated areas to be drilled. These markings assisted the contractor as they completed their assigned work for the hospital.
