Working in conjunction with an environmental firm a GPR scan was performed at a large horse farm and training ground. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) was there to conduct the GPR scan to see if there were any possible unground storage tanks, large anomalies, possible excavation where tanks may have been removed and any areas where other environmental hazards may have been buried. The reason GPR scans are used on areas like this is to provide a cost effective and a productive means to determine what is below the surface at the site.

GPRS of Chicago was able to conduct the scan and locate several areas where tanks or possible environmental debris was located. This information is passed on to the environmental firm to due further investigation and in this case the location and number of soil borings could be directed to areas of concern.
