GPRS Locates Utility Lines at Airport - Columbia, SCGround Penetrating Radar Systems was recently contacted to locate all utilities at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport in Columbia, SC prior to directional boring. While on site, GPRS technician James Ross, scanned multiple locations to identify any anomalies that would indicate electrical conduits, water mains, gas lines, and any other pertinent utilities moving through the anticipated path. After further investigation at the suspected site we were able to determine that there were utilities running through the proposed path. Not only could we identify these obstructions, but we also provided accurate depths of each obstruction.
