Utility Locate In Glendive, Montana Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was contacted by Trec, Inc. to locate utilities in Glendive, Montana. The environmental company was going to bore in multiple locations in a parking lot that was previously a gas station. The customer was concerned due to the new construction of a bar that currently occupied the site and did not want to hit any utilities that could possibly jeopardize the business. GPRS was able to come to Montana and successfully locate all the utilities on site making it a successful boring location.
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems used a 400 MHz antenna for this application and a Radio Detection (RD) device to detect electrical current deep in the soil. GPRS’ 400 MHz antenna was ideal because of its accurate deep penetration and the open clear area the technician had to work. GPR was ideal for this application due to the active work site in the surrounding areas. GPR emits no radiation and is safe for others to work in the area near the scan location. For a similar scan on your jobsite in Utah, Idaho, or Montana please contact Adam Kubicki at 801-599-2115 or at adam.kubicki@gprsinc.com. Similar sonar scans have been performed in Tooele, Provo, Ogden, Orem, Salt Lake City, Park City, and West Valley, Utah. X-ray is also used to locate reinforcement and conduits in concrete in Boise, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah. |
