Private Utility Locating For Contractor - Naperville, IL

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Chicago was called by a local contractor in the Naperville area to come and locate utilities on private property before excavating. The project was at Kraft Foods in Naperville, and the contractor was installing a new transformer pad along with some new fence around the transformer pad. The area of concern was all around an existing transformer and a pump house that had a bunch of electrical conduits exiting the building.

Kraft Foods and the contractor both had major concerns of hitting a conduit and knocking out power for the pumps or some other major equipment. GPRS was able to locate all of the conduits exiting the building and also the main water lines entering and exiting the pump house. With all of the utilities located at this site it should make for a smoother excavation and less worries on hitting something.

GPRS Performs Utility Scan at a Corporation’s Fill Station – Carol Stream, IL

A contractor that was investigating possible soil contamination at a private fueling station in Carol Stream, IL contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Chicago for utility locating services. The contractor hoped to find valuable information about the locations of piping or tanks in the parking lot so that they would be able to move forward with soil boring, and remove the underground tanks as needed.
