GPRS of Arizona completed a private utility locating service in Winslow, Arizona. The customer was scheduled to dig multiple pits and was concerned about utilities in and around the proposed area. By using AS Built records and GPRS findings, the customer had an excellent idea of where the utilities were located.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Arizona complete the locating using a 2 step approach. A utility wand was used to scan the perimeter for any live power or communication lines running in the area. The wand was also used to send a signal through exposed lines, in particular a fuel and water line. The signal allows the wand to map out the direction of the utility along with the approximate depth. Ground penetrating radar was then used to scan the complete area and mark out any anomalies located on radar. The findings are marked in real time with spray paint and allows for immediate results. The customer was able to begin digging as the areas where cleared for utilities.
