This scan was performed inside the kitchen at The Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. A waterline feeding a sink ruptured and needed to be repaired. The point of the break was unknown so David Hagenmayer, with Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC, was called out to scan the area to determine where the contractor should dig to fix the leak. David was able to detect the not only the path of the waterline but also the location of the seepage. A void was created by the water washing out the soil beneath the tile. The plumber dug in the spot specified by David and was able to identify and fix the broken pipe. Once fixed, the kitchen was again fully operational. Ground Penetrating Radar is cost effective, non-hazardous, and provides data in real time.
