Void Detection - Milwaukee, Wisconsin This scan was performed at the Miller Coors Beer Brewing Complex in Milwaukee, WI. A construction project on the façade of the building required a tower crane to be placed in the street adjacent to the building. Prior to installing the crane, David Hagenmayer, with Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC, was called out to scan the street for sub surface voids to ensure the ground could support the weight of the crane. David was able to detect several voids in the area and marked them out on the surface. The client used the information provided to strategically place the crane’s outriggers on solid ground, greatly reducing the risk of a catastrophic collapse.
Ground Penetrating Radar is cost effective, non-hazardous, and provides data in real time.
