Void Scanning Services - Chicago, Illinois

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Chicago was hired by a local construction company to come scan an old lot to determine if any voids beneath the surface were present. The company that hired GPRS out to do the survey was in the construction process of building two new tower condos in downtown Chicago along the banks of the river. So during the long construction process they will be needing to set up various cranes in order to construct these new buildings. There had been some concern there that the surface they would be setting upon may not be able to support the crane and its load of whatever that may be. Before taking the risk of having a crane collapse and hurt someone it is a good idea to have the area scanned for voids and shallow utilities.
