Burlington Coat Factory in Kissimmee, FL

Ground Penetrating Radar System, Inc was contacted by Johnson Laux Construction Group about performing a Ground Penetrating Radar scan to locate underground utilities prior to erecting the Burlington Coat Factory sign.  On site Chris Moore, of Ground Penetrating Radar System, met with the site supervisors to demonstrate the effectiveness of GPR when it comes to locating underground and buried utilities.

Following the brief discussion the GPR scan commenced and took roughly 1 hour to complete.  Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was able to locate a sewer line that was directly in line with one of the planned bollard placements.  With the information provided by the ground penetrating radar Johnson Laux was able to avoid a costly strike and keep the project on schedule.

Ground Penetrating Radar is a very effective tool for locating underground utilities (such as: water, gas lines, telecommunication lines, sewers lines, and power lines) in Florida.  It is usual to expect good data down to a depth of 8ft.  We generally will be within 6”, vertically, to the top of the buried utility and within 3” of the center line.  As always, all GPR data is produced in real-time and field marks are made immediately.

Feel free to contact us today with your job site questions.  Chris Moore is the director of Florida operations for Ground Penetrating Radar System.  Chris can be reached at (727) 4203292 or by e-mail at chris.moore@gprsinc.com.  He services the entire state and our company performs Ground Penetrating Radar services on a national basis.
