Private Utility Locating For Verizon Wireless
GPRS was called in to scan everywhere a new foundation was to be excavated. While most of the excavation was going to be done inside the facility, some excavation was outside as well. Locating the existing underground utilities and conduits would be crucial for the facility to maintain its operations throughout the construction process. Damaging the wrong utility could potentially shut down the servers and cause thousands of Verizon Wireless customers to be without service. GPRS utilized all equipment necessary to locate the buried utilities and conduits. Some of the conduits found inside the facility were located in the existing concrete slab that needed to be saw cut and removed. The investment is using Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was definitely seen here and well worth the cost for the services. All the utilities were located and no damage was done throughout the renovation process. Seen here with the ground penetrating radar, technician John Kessinger makes a mark on the concrete slab where a conduit is located.
